This web site and has been developed

Resource Centre for
Women in SET
Is the key strand of the government strategy for Women
in Science, Engineering and Technology. It is funded by the Department
of Trade and Industry and has many significant partners including the
University of Cambridge, the WISE campaign, Sheffield Hallam University
and the Open University.
Jive
in the UK
Jive Partners
is an exciting partnership funded by the EQUAL European Social Fund which
has delivered a national programme of activities. Jive aims to share best
practice, influence policy and provide information about girls and women
in science, engineering, construction and technology.
JIVE in Yorkshire and Humber
This has been supported
by Yorkshire Forward and the European Social
Fund and is based at the UK Resource Centre
for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology
at Bradford College. JIVE has long established
work with schools, colleges, work based learning
providers, careers educators and employers who
are are promoting science, engineering, construction
and technology careers to women and girls.

Working with Girls
We believe that girls should
be given the option to choose from the widest
variety of career options and not be limited
by stereotypical ideas of what is or isn't
girls work. We have run a variety of girls
awareness days and mentoring schemes for girls.
