Events
There are many events to encourage schoolgirls to go into a career in SECT. If you hold regular events in your organisation, let us know about them.
Ever thought about becoming a British Gas Engineer?
The Engineering Academy are running a taster day for women only, designed for you to get a clearer understanding of the engineering opportunities available within British Gas. At the event you will be given a presentation on the career paths available to you, meet some engineers and also have the chance to question a panel of experts from within the Engineering Academy.
Places are limited and by invite only, so if you
are interested and would like to spend a couple
of hours with British Gas on 31 March in Leeds,
e-mail your
name, address, and any contact numbers, by 16
March. Please quote UKRC in the subject of the
e-mail.
Engineering events at Bradford University

schoolgirls attended a number of events in Yorkshire
& Humberside; you might have been one of
them. You could have been trying your hand at
an engineering challenge, making your own candle
stick, building brick arches or visiting engineering
companies. Go to the picture
gallery to see what went on.
